Maria spoke with power and boldness. Revival was in the air, and the building was charged with the Spirit of the Lord. Suddenly, the service was disrupted when a scorpion crawled upon Maria’s foot. The people were frightened and tried to warn her. She calmly answered, “Do not let this mere scorpion detract from such a great service. God is greater than any poisonous scorpion, so please keep your minds on the message.” The scorpion continued to climb her leg. Suddenly it stopped. When the sermon concluded, the Christians rushed to the platform. That scorpion had died on her leg!
